What is the spray-drying method?
Spray drying is a technology for granulating tea extract so that it is easily dissolved in water.
The green tea extract is spouted in the form of a mist and instantly dried with hot air to granulate it.
These granules are not made from crushed tea leaves, but are made from green tea that has been liquefied once, so it dissolves immediately when reconstituted with hot or cold water.
For hot, cold, and bottles
You can easily make one cup (100 ml) of tea with only one stick (0.8 g).
Since it dissolves easily in both hot and cold water, you can enjoy it as warm green tea in winter or cold tea in summer.
You can also use it when you go out, such as putting it in your own bottle and carrying it around, or carrying it as a stick for traveling or as a companion to your lunch box.

At the root of the deliciousness of Ito En is its usage of high-quality domestic tea leaves.
Of Japan’s green tea (rough tea) production (84,802t) *, “Ocha no Ito En,” which handles about 25% of the tea leaves, is making an effort to produce delicious tea. For more than 40 years, employees themselves have traveled to tea markets nationwide to build relationships of trust with tea producers. They purchase high quality tea leaves directly for the deliciousness of Oi Ocha.
Then, as a “tea production area development project,” they carry out two initiatives, “contract cultivation” to make tea leaves with a tea farmer, and “new production area business” to make idle farmland a tea plantation dedicated to “Oi Ocha.”
In order to deliver the aroma and deliciousness of tea that ITO EN demands, it is currently expanding to 1,669 hectares (as of April 2019), and they are aiming to expand to 2,000 hectares (about 427 Tokyo Domes) in the future.
