The tea we use is ``Shizuoka Yamasencha'' and the brown rice we use is ``domestic brown rice.''

Genmaicha with authentic flavor. This brown rice tea is made with a blend of Motoyama Sencha from the upper reaches of Shizuoka Abe River, one of the ``100 Best Waters of the Heisei Era,'' and domestic brown rice. Genmaicha, which is commonly distributed, focuses on cost. Usually, it is blended with 90-80% brown rice and 10-20% bancha or powdered tea, so the aroma of brown rice is too strong. Our ``Marutou Genmaicha'' is made with a thorough emphasis on quality. Because it is a blend of ``50% Sencha and 50% Brown Rice,'' it retains the flavor of Sencha and can be roasted many times. Focus on quality, not cost. We deliver ``genmaicha with authentic flavor'' to everyone who loves genmaicha on a daily basis.
2009 Shizuoka Bank sponsored "Shizugin Agricom" Grand Prize winner

The Shizuoka Specialty Products Exhibition ``Shizugin Agricom'' is held once a year in Shizuoka. Our "Marutou Genmaicha" won the Grand Prize in 2009. The sencha used as a raw material is the ``extremely shallow sencha from Motoyama'' that is unique to Hagiri, a wholesaler specializing in tea production. Honyamacha was a favorite drink of Tokugawa Ieyasu. True Motoyama tea refers to tea produced in the six villages of the former Abe District: Tamagawa, Okawa, Kiyosawa, Igawa, Umegashima, and Okochi Villages. This product is carefully selected from ``Gokuasamushi Sencha'' from ``Tamagawa, Okawa, and Kiyosawa.''

Since we use sencha that retains the shape of the tea leaves, you can enjoy it as is, either before or after brewing it in the teapot. Please enjoy the ``arare'' aroma of brown rice, the bittersweet taste of sencha, and the crunchy texture. The used tea leaves are also delicious to eat (even better with Tosa ponzu sauce). It is also perfect for making tea with tea. It's also delicious if you grind it in a tea mill and mix it with yogurt.
Recommended way to drink

Boiling water is best. Please enjoy the flavor that is a harmonious combination of the rich flavor and sweetness of Motoyama's ``Gyokuasamushi Sencha'' and the ``elegant aroma'' of domestic brown rice. It can be roasted many times.
1.Pour 3 tablespoons (6-7g) of tea leaves into a teapot.
2.Pour 360cc of hot water directly from the pot into the teapot.
3. Pour into the hot water cup for 10 seconds after the first brew, without waiting after the second brew.
